Two teenagers dead, three injured in crash in Tabulam, near Casino

Two teenagers have died and three others have been injured in a crash in NSW’s north overnight.

Emergency services were called to Plains Station Rd, Tabulam, about 60km west of Casino, about 3.20am Saturday after a single-vehicle crash.

Police say the Volkswagen Tiguan lost control and hit a tree, with two teenagers declared dead at the crash site.

They are yet to be formally identified.

“Three teenagers were taken to hospital, with one in a serious condition, while the two others are being treated for minor injuries,” police said.

Specialist Crash Investigation Unit officers are examining the scene as an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the crash continues.

Plains Station Rd remains closed in both directions, with local traffic diversions in place.
