How to Create a Free Card
In this quick and simple beginner’s tutorial, we’ll look at how you can create a free card design that incorporates your chosen quote.
We’ll use free online app Shutterstock Create to adjust a card template, add some fun animation for an eCard design, and export your design ready to share with the lucky recipient.

Step 1
Head over to Shutterstock Create, and scroll through the blank canvas options until you see the template called Greeting Card. Click to open the template.
From the left-hand menu under Templates, you can scroll through hundreds of card templates that offer different options for color, type, graphics, or photos.
As we will be working on a happiness quote card, let’s use this type-based card template as a basis for creating our own card design. . . .
Step 2
Click on your chosen template to load it onto the screen. Now you can start to edit the text content of your design by clicking on the text box.
Use the options in the control panel directly above to make changes to the font style, font color, or font size if you like.
Step 3
To add animation to the happiness quote for creating a shareable eCard design, first select the text box with your cursor, and then click on Animate above.
For this quote, I’ve chosen a Drop animation to bring a quirky touch to the design. Press the play icon at the bottom of the screen to preview the animation styles.
Once you’re happy with the design, simply hop up to the red Download button, choose the file format you prefer, and click Download again.
You can then print the design or share an animated MP4 or GIF file as an eCard with your chosen recipient. Great job!
