Speaking to Lallantop Cinema, Vikrant Massey opened up about how he got the call from Vidhu’s office for his casting in the movie ‘12 Fail.’ Initially, the actor thought someone was playing a prank on him. Thereafter, he reminisced his first interaction with director Vidhu Vinod Chopra, who without hesitation told the actor that he hadn’t seen much of Massey’s work. He told Vikrant that he knew he had worked in ‘Gunj,’ and Vidhu’s wife kept praising the actor’s work in the same.

Thereafter, Vidhu shared his opinion on Vikrant’s most lauded series ‘Mirzapur.’ He called the series useless. In defense, Vikrant said he thought everyone liked ‘Mirzapur’ as he is still recognized as Bablu Bhaiya. This didn’t change Vidhu’s mind at all. He then told Massey, he couldn’t watch two complete episodes and had to switch it off halfway.

Though Vikrant’s character loses his life at the end of the first season itself, he is remembered to date. The season of the series came out in 2020, and the third installment was supposed to be out in 2023. However, an official release date is yet to be confirmed by the streaming service.
