NSW Police Detective Superintendent Simon Glasser said the victims included two men, aged 22 and 25, and a 19-year-old woman.
It understood one of the males has head injuries, while another has neck injuries.
The woman is believed to have chest injuries.
“It’s terrible behaviour. It’s a very serious offence, people shooting at people. It could have resulted in a death at this stage and it still may,” Glasser said.

Police are searching for at least one man who they believe is linked to the “targeted” shooting, he said.
It’s unknown if the incident is linked to Sydney gangs.
“It’s early in the investigation. We are trying to establish what both parties were doing at that location … we don’t know what the motive was,” Glasser said.
One male and a female were sitting in one car when they were shot, and another male victim was believed to be a passenger in a separate car that was shot at.
About five minutes after the shooting, a third car was found alight on Amy St in Regents Park.
Inquiries are underway to determine if the incidents are linked, Glasser said.
Anyone with information or who were in the vicinity of Greenacre or Regents Park where the incident happened are being urged to contact police.
