The KPKB initiative, initiated by the Ministry of Home Affairs in 2006, serves serving and retired members of Central Armed Police Forces and their families. This includes various security forces like the Border Security Force, Central Reserve Police Force, Central Industrial Security Force, Indo-Tibetan Border Police, Sashastra Seema Bal, Assam Rifles, and extends its benefits to State Police Forces and Central Police Organizations. Operating through 119 Master Canteens and over 1,800 subsidiary bhandars, KPKB serves 35 lakh beneficiaries across India.

In November 2023, Volkswagen sold 3,095 units in the domestic market, down by a significant 13.3 percent as compared to the 3,570 units sold in the corresponding month last year. Further, the brand also witnessed a substantial decline in its sales on the MoM basis as it had clocked 4,089 units in October, about 24 percent more than November’s tally.
In other news, Volkswagen has announced a price hike across its model range starting from January 2024 in its bid to offset the rising input costs and the overall inflation. At present, the company sells popular models such as the Virtus, Taigun, and Tiguan in India.
