Volkswagen Tiguan gets Rs 4.2 lakh worth year-end discounts: Check effective price

Volkswagen is offering discounts worth up to Rs 4.2 lakh with its flagship Tiguan as a part of year-end benefits. The offers include a cash discount, exchange benefits, corporate benefits, a service package, and other special benefits, all of which add up to Rs 4.2 lakh which is actually more than 10% of the SUV’s ex-showroom price!
The Volkswagen Tiguanis currently priced at Rs 35.17 lakh, which means that will all the discounts in place, you can get one home at an effective price of Rs 30.97 lakh (both prices, ex-showroom).The benefits include a Rs 75,000 cash discount, exchange bonus up to Rs 75,000, corporate benefits of up to Rs 1 lakh, four-year free Service Value Package worth Rs 86,000, and additional special benefits of up to Rs 84,000.

Do note that the discounts are valid until the end of this year i.e. December 31, 2023. Powering the Tiguan is a 2.0-litre turbocharged petrol engine that makes 187 hp of maximum power and 320 Nm of peak torque, mated to a 7-speed DSG as standard. Power is fed to all four wheels through Volkswagen’s 4MOTION all-wheel drive system.
On the feature front, the VW Tiguan gets an eight-inch touchscreen system with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, a digital instrument cluster, a panoramic sunroof, connected-car tech, a three-zone climate control, power-adjustable driver’s seat, 30-colour ambient lighting, six airbags, ESC, HAC, HDC, park assist and more. The Tiguan rivals the likes of Citroen C5 Aircross, Hyundai Tucson and Jeep Compass in the Indian market.
