A Kia Carens was involved in an accident near Secunderabad Club, Hyderabad, after jumping a traffic signal. The incident was captured in a nearby CCTV camera and shows the SUV jumping a red light, losing control after coming in contact with another car and then flipping over multiple times.
The recorded incident has been shared on social media and has ignited debates regarding traffic rules obedience and road safety.The footage shows the Kia Carens speeding as it ignores the red traffic signal. As it attempts to cross the junction, a Toyota Innova Hycross makes contact with its rear, causing the Carens to lose control, go airborne, flip multiple times, and eventually come to a stop.

Details about any injuries and the condition of those involved remain unknown at this time, however, it is being said that the passengers in the Carens have sustained minor injuries only. It is worth noting that speeding and running red lights significantly increase the risk of severe accidents, often with devastating consequences. The Carens passengers here were fortunate to not have sustained life-threatening injuries.

Kia Carens: Safety ratings
The Kia Carens was recently tested under the new protocols of the GNCAP and had secured 3-star safety ratings. It scored 22.07 points out of the 34 possible for adult protection rating and bagged 40.92/49 in the child protection ratings. Interestingly, the model was tested twice under the new protocols after it had received 0 stars in the initial tests. The SUV offers six airbags as standard.
