West Coast veteran Andrew Gaff’s AFL career comes to sad end

The AFL career of Andrew Gaff has come to a sad end.

The West Coast winger has been a shadow off his former self over the past two seasons as he’s battled through a degenerative ankle injury.

The 32-year-old has only managed three games this season because of injury and form, while his club again languishes near the bottom of the ladder.

Now, the highly respected two-time All-Australian has announced he will retire at season’s end.

West Coast have also confirmed Gaff will play the in the next two games to say farewell to fans.

After 14 seasons at the club and 278 games, Gaff told his teammates of his decision to retire on Wednesday.
