When Karan Johar nearly ‘killed’ Rani Mukerji during Kabhi Alvida Naa Kehna shoot | Hindi Movie News

Karan Johar happens to be one of the most enigmatic directors of Hindi Cinema, having delivered blockbusters like Kuch Kuch Hota Hai, Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham… , Kabhi Alvida Naa Kehna, My Name Is Khan, Ae Dil hai Mushkil and recently Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahani. The director was recently part of Galatta Plus’ round table conversation along with Rani Mukerji and more individuals.

During the conversation, Rani Mukerji revealed that during the shoot of the song ‘Tumhi Dekho Na’, they were shooting in -14 degrees in New York, United States of America. She shared that she was wearing a red saree in the song and she actually froze and couldn’t walk. It was her cousin Ayan Mukerji who was Karan’s assistant, who had to carry her to her car. She also added that if you watch the song, you can see her lips are frozen during the lip-sync, the song would have looked sensual on-screen, but it was not a comfortable experience.
Listening to Rani, Karan also shared that he was so crazy at that time, he wanted rain in -14 degree weather, so his team had arranged for a rain machine . But before it would reach the stars, the droplets would become ice flakes. Karan also revealed that he had a health and safety department, and its members were saying, ‘you will kill them’.
