Bharti Singh’s Weight Loss Story- No Gym, Only Intermittent fasting
In one of her interviews, Bharti Singh said, “Even I am surprised that I have lost so much weight, but I am equally happy because I feel healthy and fit. Abhi saans nahi chadhti or halka halka feel hota hai.” Being overweight entails several health problems and Singh admitted to have her diabetes and asthma in control after her weight loss.
So how did Bharti do it? Singh says she practiced one routine and that was intermittent fasting. She used to have meals in a certain window only that is post 12pm and until 7 pm in the evening.
What surprised people was when Bharti mentioned that she did it all without hitting the gym or following a rigorous diet plan. Instead she proudly says how the innate Punjabi in her did not give up on parathas and makhan (butter). She managed to shed 15 kgs by dedicatedly adhering to intermittent fasting, without giving up her favourite food and without even having a charted out workout plan.
Bharti’s diet was mostly eating in controlled portions and home-cooked meals. Not eating post 7 helped her curb those midnight hunger pangs too. “I don’t follow any diet, I just fast for 15-16 hours and don’t eat anything between 7 pm-12 pm. My body doesn’t accept dinner any later than 7 pm now. But I attack food after 12 pm. Then I have my regular parathas, eggs, dal-sabzi, everything I have always liked,” she stated speaking with The Indian Express.
About Intermittent Fasting
Intermittent fasting is a popular eating pattern involving cycling between fasting and eating. It can be an effective strategy for weight loss, improving metabolic health, and simplifying your eating routine. People set a window between their meals. It focuses more on the time of the meal and not exactly you are consuming in the meal.
Nonetheless, a healthy and nutrient-rich diet is the ley to a healthy lifestyle.
Bharti Singh, till date, talks about her weight loss with utmost simplicity that only posits this concept of weight loss as a simple journey. It does not require a lot, just dedication, consistency and being aware about your body. Kudos to Bharti’s spirit!
Happy Birthday Bharti Singh!
