Red Wiggle Caterina Mete has announced the birth of her identical twin girls, Dolly and Gigi.
The children’s entertainer revealed the babies had arrived safely by saying, “Double the joy, double the love! I am so thrilled to announce the arrival of my precious twin girls, Dolly and Gigi. My heart is overflowing with happiness as I welcome to the world my two little miracles.”
The 43-year-old underwent IVF at a fertility clinic with the help of an anonymous donor to achieve her goal of becoming a mum.

Her Wiggles co-stars celebrated the news of the double arrival by congratulating Mete who has been with The Wiggles for many years, first playing Dorothy the Dinosaur and then in 2021 becoming the Red Wiggle.
“We are absolutely thrilled for Mete and the arrival of her beautiful twin girls. Her journey to motherhood has been truly inspiring, and we can’t wait to meet these adorable new additions to The Wiggles’ family,” The Wiggles said in a statement.
During the announcement of her pregnancy, Mete admitted how thrilled she was to be heading towards motherhood after many years of hope.
“Becoming a mother has always been a dream of mine. This journey has been challenging, but filled with so much love and support.
“I am immensely grateful for the incredible team at my fertility clinic and the technology that has made this possible,” she said.
