In today’s times just getting big stars and big directors on board to make a film isn’t enough to ensure that the film will open big. Post Covid audiences are looking for an experience to step out of their homes to watch films and this is where marketing plays a very important role. The whole month of December is packed with one big film after another and it is of primary importance to attract the maximum number of viewers to ensure a huge box office return.Reports are coming in now that the trailer of keenly awaitedSalaar: Part One- Ceasefire which stars Prabhas and is directed by Prashanth Neel will be attached to Ranbir Kapoor’s Animal to capture the North India audience.

The point to be noted here is that while Animal is all set to release on 1st December, the trailer of Salaar is also scheduled to be released on the very same day at 7:19 in the evening, so at this point one doesn’t know from which date the trailer will be attached. Will the film showcase the trailer from the evening shows on 1st or from the morning shows 2nd December onwards.
Another point to be noted here is that both the films are distributed by Anil Thadani of AA Films in North India. So while the market is really gung ho about the prospects of Animal, attaching the trailer of Prabhas’s Salaar also gives it much needed visibility in North as it is clashing with Shah Rukh Khan’s Dunki on the same day . And taking on Shah Rukh Khan in 2023 after hits like Pathaan and Jawan will require a lot of smarts.
Animal has also been in the news for the last few days over the length of the film, which has now been announced to be a more than 3 hour long film. This has put a lot of pressure on the distribution team as it will impact the number of shows the film will get. Its trailer is slated to release in the next few days.
