As reported by the Free Press Journal, “Shaitaan” is slated to premiere on the OTT platform on May 3.
While there are speculations that Netflix might have secured the digital rights for the movie, an official confirmation is still pending.
The movie is a remake of the 2023 Gujarati horror film “Vash,” with the original actor, Janki Bodiwala, reprising her role in “Shaitaan.” R Madhavan portrays the main antagonist in this thriller, where the plot revolves around a family held captive by a man with supernatural powers.
The production of “Shaitaan” involved Vikas Bahl, Kumar Mangat Pathak, Abhishek Pathak, Ajay Devgn, and Jyoti Deshpande under Jio Studios, Panorama Studios, and Devgn Films. Sudhakar Reddy Yakkanti served as the cinematographer, while Sandeep Francis handled the editing.

Shaitaan is already in its fourth weekend, and what a run the film has been having. The film which has already earned Rs 134.15 crore in three weeks, added another Rs 4.75 crore in the fourth weekend, thus taking the total collection of the film to Rs 138.90 crore.
Over the weekend, the film collected Rs 1.25 crore on Friday, just a 25% drop from its Thursday collection of Rs 1.6 crore. And on Saturday, it spiked again to collect Rs 1.6 crore, and on Sunday, it collected Rs 1.9 crore as per early estimates by industry tracker Sacnilk. Trade is sure that the film is all set to cross Rs 140 crore mark before the next weekend, thus paving the way for the film to touch the the magical number of Rs 150 crore, making it one of the biggest hits of Ajay’s career.
