A woman has been bitten by a snake on Sydney’s Northern Beaches.
NSW Ambulance told 7NEWS.com.au a woman aged in her 30s was bitten on her leg at Great Mackerel Beach in the Ku-ring-gai Chase National Park at 10.30am on Friday.

The air ambulance – with a doctor and intensive care paramedic on board – landed within 25 minutes of the call for help, airlifting the woman to Northern Beaches Hospital in a stable condition.
It’s understood she had been walking in bushland close to a residence when she accidentally stepped on the snake.
Although the type of snake is unknown, the initial report was that the woman was bitten by a “dark-coloured snake”, possibly a highly venomous brown snake
Snake catcher Harley Jones said summer is the peak period for snake bites.
“It is a very busy at the moment, particularly when we’ve just had all that rain … it means that the snakes are going to be out and about looking for sunshine,” Jones said.
“If people see a snake the best thing they can do is stand back and take a photograph if possible, because if they do get a snake catcher out there it’s usually best to know what snake it is, what species it is, it will help us look for it.
“But don’t touch it.”
