Two other people who were present called triple-0.

Paramedics treated the woman but she died at the scene.

She is yet to be formally identified.

The woman’s 21-year-old partner was seen running from the complex, Superintendent Trent King said.

“It’s alleged a 21-year-old male in a domestic relationship with this person is the perpetrator of this incident and had caused those injuries to the female,” King said.

“He is now wanted in relation to her death.”

The man is described as an Islander of solid build and was last seen wearing a black jacket, black pants and a red and black basketball singlet.

“While it is considered this was a targeted incident, I would urge the public if they do see this person or have any information in relation to this person, to contact triple-0 in the first instance and not to approach him,” King said.

“If any person has any further information in relation to this incident, they’re urged to contact Nepean detectives or Crimestoppers on 1800 333 000.”

There were no previous domestic incidents on record, King said.

The man has some “minor transport infringements” on his record but no violent offences.

Two of three westbound lanes of the Great Western Hwy are closed approaching Bringelly Rd amid the ongoing police operation.

“There is no ongoing threat to the public,” NSW Police said.

However, motorists are urged to avoid the area.

Anyone with information is urged to call Crime Stoppers.
