Recently, it was announced that the movie finally has a release date! The highly anticipated flick will drop on OTT on December 7.
The actors announced the release date along with Akhtar with a live billboard on Mumbai’s Western Express Highway. The billboard features a countdown timer that tracks the number of days left for the film’s launch. The timer was set at 100 days. The actors shared the clip on the OTT platform’s official handle with a note that read, “Hamari kahaani ka countdown shuru ho chuka hai This is a daily reminder that #TheArchies are making their grand entrance on 7th December.”
According to the makers, the 1960s-set film explores friendship, freedom, love, heartbreak and rebellion through the lives of Archie, Betty, Veronica, Jughead, Reggie, Ethel and Dilton. It will take audiences to the fictional hilly town of Riverdale. It will see Khushi Kapoor as Betty Cooper, Suhana Khan as Veronica Lodge, Agastya Nanda as Archie Andrews, Mihir Ahuja as Jughead Jones, Vedang Raina as Reggie Mantle, Yuvraj Menda as Dilton Doiley and Dot as Ethel Muggs.
