The new Creta was recently spotted testing on Indian roads. In terms of design, the overall silhouette of the SUV will remain the same but it will get extensive updates on the front and rear end. The SUV will feature a new LED headlight setup, a new, larger radiator grille, as well as new LED tail lights and it’s also expected to get connected DRLs. The front end will likely feature a parametric jewel grille design, while the overall styling will adopt Hyundai’s latest ‘Parametric Dynamics’ design language. At sides, nothing much will be changed except for newly designed larger diamond cut alloy wheels.

Moving on to the interior, the cabin layout will remain the same as before but the new Creta will receive a new colour scheme. The car gets a larger infotainment system with wireless Apple CarPlay/Android Auto and it also gets a fully digital instrument cluster similar to the Alcazar. The new Creta will also come with the ADAS (advanced driver assistance system) that includes features such as adaptive cruise control, lane keep assist, rear cross-traffic collision, blind spot monitor, autonomous emergency braking with forward collision avoidance and more.

Talking about the powertrain options, the Creta facelift will continue to be powered by the same set of powertrain options which includes 113 hp, 1.5-litre MPi petrol, 114hp, and 1.5-litre CRDi diesel. While these two engines will be carried over for the facelifted model, the new Creta will also be offered with a new 1.5-litre TGDi turbo petrol engine which also does the duty in the new Seltos and Carens.
In terms of pricing, the price for the outgoing model starts from Rs 10.9 lakh. With the addition of new design, added safety, features and much more, we expect the new Creta to be expensive by at least Rs 80,000. The SUV will continue to compete with the Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara, Toyota Hyryder, Skoda Kushaq, Volkswagen Taigun, and Honda Elevate, as well as its cousin, Kia Seltos in India.
