2024 Kawasaki Versys 650 launched at Rs 7.77 lakh: Engine, features, and more

Kawasaki India has launched the 2024 iteration of the Versys 650 adventure tourer motorcycle with prices starting from Rs 7.77 lakh, ex-showroom. While the pricing and hardware set remains unchanged from the MY2023 version, the motorcycle does get two new colour options – Metallic Flat Spark Black and Metallic Matte Dark Gray.
In terms of styling, the 2024 model continues to boast its flared styling and remains unchanged in terms of cosmetics, barring the introduction of two dual-tone colour options.Underneath the new paint scheme, the 2024 Versys 650 continues to be powered by the 649cc liquid-cooled, 4-stroke parallel-twin engine. This motor produces 65.7 bhp and 61 Nm of peak torque and comes mated to a 6-speed gearbox with an assist and slipper clutch for smoother gear changes and improved control.

Suspension duties are handled by USD forks at the front and a monoshock at the rear while stopping power comes from disc brakes on both wheels along with dual-channel ABS. Furthermore, Kawasaki has provided the option of a switchable traction control with this adventure tourer.
The 2024 Versys 650 isn’t overloaded with electronic features, but it gets the essentials right. The motorcycle comes equipped with a 4.3-inch TFT coloured instrument console that can be connected to a smartphone for additional functionalities. A USB charging port ensures you can keep your devices powered on the go.
