Four people were pronounced dead in Fresno County following an apparent residential burglary, officials said.

In a social media post, the Reedley Police Department said it found three people dead when responding to a report of a burglary Saturday at the 1100 block of South Church Avenue at about 9 a.m. Two of the people, who were residents of the house, were identified on Monday as 81-year-old Billy Bonds and 41-year-old Guadalupe Bonds.

Police have not yet identified the third person. The fourth deceased individual, also still unnamed, was found at another Fresno County address where law enforcement arrested two adults and one minor while carrying out search warrants as part of the investigation. Police said they don’t believe the four deaths are directly linked right now.

Officials haven’t determined the cause of death for the three individuals at the house that was burglarized, but detectives are investigating them as a homicide because of the “circumstances surrounding the incident,” police said. As officers searched the house, they also found an empty gun safe. Police believe that someone took rifles and pistols from the home.

Another resident of the first house, 43-year-old Matthew Bonds, who is considered at-risk due to health issues, is currently missing, police said. Officials haven’t been able to contact him and are asking the public for assistance in locating the at-risk man.

The Reedley Police Department, which is leading the investigation, posted a social media message on Saturday urging the public to report any suspicious activity or information related to the deaths and burglary.

“The Reedley Police Department understands the heightened concern and anxiety that such news may generate within the community. We are steadfast in our commitment to resolving this case and ensuring the safety of all residents,” the post read.
