A few months back, ‘Housefull 5‘ has been announced with Akshay Kumar and Riteish Deshmukh. While this got the fans of the franchise excited, it’s now known that Abhishek Bachchan has also joined the film now. Abhishek was a part of ‘Housefull 3’ and now he’s joined the fifth installment of the franchise again. The film is directed by Tarun Mansukhani who has directed Abhishek in ‘Dostana‘ co-starring John Abraham and Priyanka Chopra.
Producer Sajid Nadiadwala is elated to bring Abhishek back to the project as he feels that his comic timing will further add to the film.
Meanwhile, Abhishek also reacted to this collaboration as he said, “Housefull is one of my favorite comedy franchises and coming back feels like returning home. It’s always been a great pleasure to work with Sajid Nadiadwala. I am looking forward to having mad fun on the sets with my fellow actors Akshay and Ritesh. I’m also so excited to collaborate again with my dear friend Tarun Mansukhani. I’m really looking forward to working with him again after Dostana. This is going to be a lot of fun”.
The film is set to go on floors in August this year.
Considering Abhishek’s earlier collaboration with Mansukhani, this one is expected to be a laugh riot. ‘Housefull 5’ is set to release on June 6. Meanwhile, Abhishek returns to the comedy genre after a while, after being a part of heavy, intense films – from ‘The Big Bull’ to ‘Ghoomer’. Though, ‘Dasvi’ also had some light-heartedness despite having a message.
Apart from ‘Housefull 5’, Abhishek will be seen in Shoojit Sircar’s next and Remo D’souza’s next.
