Actor Charlie Sheen, known for his breakthrough role in Two and a Half Men, was allegedly attacked in his home by a neighbour who was later arrested by police.

According to Fox News, the neighbour, a woman, was 47-year-old Electra Schrock, who first knocked on his house in the upmarket beachside neighbourhood of Malibu in California. She then forced her way in and attempted to strangle Sheen, reportedly ripping his shirt.
“The suspect, Electra Schrock, was arrested for assault with a deadly weapon, force likely to create great bodily injury … and residential burglary,” a Los Angeles police spokesperson told Fox News.

Charlie has appeared in films such as Platoon (1986), Wall Street (1987), Young Guns (1988), The Rookie (1990), The Three Musketeers (1993), and The Arrival (1996). In the 2000s, when Sheen replaced Michael J. Fox as the star of ABC’s Spin City, his depiction of Charlie Crawford earned him a Golden Globe Award for Best Actor. He then went on to star as Charlie Harper on the CBS sitcom Two and a Half Men (2003–11), for which he received multiple Golden Globe and Primetime Emmy nominations. The role to date, remains his best on screen characters.

Sheen’s personal life has always made headlines, including reports of alcohol and drug abuse and marital problems, as well as allegations of domestic violence.
