LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — The FBI arrested a Nevada actor who has appeared on several TV shows for his alleged involvement at the U.S. Capitol on Jan. 6, according to documents reviewed by the investigators with NewsNation affiliate KLAS.
Nolan Freeman, of Dayton, was arrested on March 19 in Carson City, the documents said.
Freeman had appeared in an episode of “NCIS” in 2019. His IMDb credits also list appearances in “The Rookie,” “Days of Our Lives,” and “Shameless,” as well as the movie “Devil’s Night.”
The suspect’s arrest comes after a grand jury subpoenaed airline records, finding Freeman traveled from Sacramento to Washington, D.C., on Jan. 4, 2021, according to the documents. He returned to northern Nevada on Jan. 8.
The FBI traced Freeman’s phone, allegedly finding it inside the U.S. Capitol during the Jan. 6 insurrection. The FBI also located videos of Freeman from multiple cameras inside the building, the documents said.
Freeman faces four charges, including disorderly conduct in a Capitol building, the records said.
Freeman is the seventh man from Nevada to face charges related to Jan. 6. Others include Brandon Dillard of Las Vegas, who pleaded guilty after he was observed climbing on the exterior of the U.S. Capitol building (an action that earned him the nickname “Spider Nazi” online), and Josiah Kenyon of Winnemucca, who was sentenced to six years in prison for attacking officers and causing more than $40,000 in damage.
The FBI has arrested more than 1,300 people for crimes related to Jan. 6. More than 450 people face charges of assaulting or impeding law enforcement. The longest Jan. 6-related sentence a judge has imposed is 14 years, for a man who threw a chair at a line of officers.
