After Nexon facelift, new Tata Nexon EV to be unveiled on this date: What to expect

Tata Motors unveiled the heavily updated Nexon facelift in India earlier this week, and now, the company has announced that the fully-electric Nexon EV will receive a mid-life makeover on September 7, revealing a teaser of the vehicle. While we already know that the Tata Nexon EV is based on the ICE Nexon, sharing the same design ethos, the latest teaser hints at a few noteworthy changes among the two.
While the teaser reveals that the Tata Nexon EV facelift will also get the same new front-end with the split headlamp setup as the Nexon facelift, it also confirms that the EV will get an additional LED strip running across the nose, connecting the DRLs on the top. The front grille design is also expected to be slightly different on the battery-powered Nexon.

Other changes will include new alloy wheels, new connected LED tail lights, a redesigned rear bumper, as well as a much more premium cabin with a floating 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a similarly sized fully-digital instrument cluster, a new two-spoke steering wheel with an illuminated logo in the middle, new touch HVAC controls and a slightly updated center console.
As of now, Tata Motors offers the Nexon EV in two guises – Nexon EV Prime and Nexon EV Max, with the latter being the long-range version. It is yet to be seen if the manufacturer will continue with this formula, or club the two together in the form of separate variants. The pre-facelift Tata Nexon EV Max gets a 40.5 kWh battery pack providing a range of 453 km on a single charge. The electric motor puts out 141 hp of power and 250 Nm torque.
Stay tuned to TOI Auto for the Tata Nexon EV facelift’s debut on September 7!
