After explaining the story of the episode, ‘The Heart Skips A Beat’, she added, ‘None of the above is drawn from Yashica Dutt’s life or her book – ‘Coming Out As Dalit’.
we categorically deny any claims that Ms Dutt’s life or work was appropriated by us.’
She concluded by saying, ‘We made the show with sincerity, passion and a beating heart and are overwhelmed with the love we have received. We will continue to platform stories and voices that are truly bigger than us’.
As soon as the director shared the post, comments poured in from all sides. A fan wrote, ‘This is sad man. So much work went into the show . You can tell as a viewer. Don’t diminish great artistry! We loved the show. That episode in particular was the BEST! When something is so great, it often is seen as a threat.’
