Tom Cruise and Nicole Kidman. Mulder and Scully. Michael Jordan and Scottie Pippen.

While there are plenty of famous pairings of the 1990s, there are none more iconic for Aussie millennials than Agro and Ranger Stacey.

Now the cheeky puppet and wildlife worker-turned-TV star are getting back together.

Agro confessed to 7NEWS that, aside from the odd gig including an Uber Eats campaign, he’s “just been lying around in a bag”.

But the two stage shows — one in Ipswich and one in Redland — he and Stacey Thomson are doing could be “the start of something big”.

“We’re going to look back, we’re going to remember some of the amazing laughs we’ve had, some of the unpredictable moments of Cartoon Connection and hopefully entertain the crowd,” Ranger Stacey said.

“To be a kid back in the ’90s was the best thing, wasn’t it?”

For those born after 1997, Ranger Stacey was on Agro’s Cartoon Connection for years as a wildlife expert and his antics with her and long-time co-host Ann-Maree continue to rack up the hits online.

Despite the nostalgia factor, Agro says he “will never be in children’s television” again, and the only reason he’s got a call from Channel 7 in the past 25 years is because “they wanted to do a show called, Where Are They Now?.”

Agro, his puppetmaster Jamie Dunn and Ranger Stacey are doing the Agro Up Late shows at the Ipswich Civic Centre and Redland Performing Arts Centre on September 22 and 29 respectively.
