Alia Bhatt had a great 2023 as she had her first release post the birth of her daughter Raha Kapoor. Alia was seen in Karan Johar‘s directorial ‘Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani‘ alongside Ranveer Singh. The film was not only a huge hit at the box office, it also got critical aclaim while Alia was loved for her performance. Infact, the various looks donned by her character Rani in the movie and her sarees became a part of the popular culture.
Meanwhile, Alia also made her MET Gala debut this year and walked the red carpet with immense grace in a pearl studded white gown designed by Prabal Gurung.Alia also had the release of her first Hollywood project this year, ‘Heart Of Stone’ and the year was filled with several public appearances, representing herself at an International level at fashion shows and lots more. Alia summed up her year into a reel which encapsulated many of her looks this year. Not to mention, she won her first ever National Award this year for ‘Gangubai Kathiawadi’. WATCH here:

At the moment, Alia is shooting for ‘Jigra’ which is also co-produced by her along with Karan Johar. The film is directed by Vasan Bala. Alia had made that announcement with a note and said that life has come a full circle for her. She said, “Presenting #Jigra, directed by the extremely talented @vasanbala and produced by @dharmamovies & @eternalsunshineproduction. From debuting in a Dharma production to now producing a film with them, in many ways, it feels like coming full circle from where I started.Every day is a different day… exciting, challenging (and a little scary)… not just as an actor but also as a producer as we bring this film to life, and I CANNOT wait to share more as we move forward.”
‘Jigra’ is set to release in September 2024.
