Amazon Unveils Revolutionary Floating Store on the Iconic Dal Lake in Srinagar

Amazon India has launched its first-ever floating store on Dal Lake in Srinagar, Kashmir as part of its “I Have Space” last-mile delivery program. The store, operated by Murtaza Khan Kashi, owner of houseboat Selec Town, will deliver packages to customers at the doorstep of their houseboats. The floating store aims to expand Amazon’s delivery network while providing additional income opportunities for small businesses. Kashi, who saw the program as a way to utilize his free time and supplement his regular income, has become a reliable delivery source for customers in and around Dal Lake and Nigeen Lake. The launch of the floating store will enable faster and more reliable deliveries for customers in Srinagar and strengthen Amazon’s delivery network. The “I Have Space” program, which partners with local stores and small businesses, currently has 28,000 partners in over 420 cities across India. In other news, Amazon is gearing up for its annual Great Indian Freedom Festival sale, offering massive discounts on various products from August 5 to August 9.
