Ariana Madix doesn’t miss a step. The “Vanderpump Rules” star made a statement during her “Dancing With the Stars” debut on Tuesday when she wore an updated, blinged out version of the red “revenge” dress she wore during the Bravo show’s Season 10 reunion.
Madix, 38, gave a sneak peek of her attire shortly before Season 32 of the ABC competition series aired live on Monday.
“Red-dy for the PREMIERE♥️,” the reality star captioned a video with her pro partner, Pasha Pashkov, via Instagram. “#dwts.”
Fans of Madix were quick to catch on to the reference.
“The revenge dress as a dance dress!!!!!!!!! You ate that sh-t up,” one commenter wrote.
“The iconic dress yessss!!” a second wrote.
As a third fan commented, “The revenge dress! YAAAAAAS!!!” her “Pump Rules” costar Scheana Shay left multiple fire heart emojis.
Madix stepped out in a similar ensemble when she faced her ex Tom Sandoval and her ex friend Raquel Leviss at the Bravo’s show reunion following their bombshell affair news.
“My revenge dress that I wore on the reunion … I had options that I was working with my friend Emily Men, who is an incredible stylist, and then when all of this happened, it was like, ‘Nope, scrap all of those. We’re going back to the drawing board. We need something absolutely incredible,’” she said on Today of her outfit, which consisted of a strap of cloth across her chest and a cropped jacket. “And she found that dress, and she’s great at what she does.”
The three-part reunion documented Madix slamming Sandoval, 40, and Leviss, 29, for their months-long affair. Although the season was done filming, when news of their hookup surfaced the Bravo cameras picked back up to film more with the cast.
Madix has since moved on with beau Daniel Wai. Leviss, who sought treatment at a mental healthy facility after “Scandoval,” blocked the Tom Sandoval & The Most Extras frontman from her Instagram after he posted a birthday message for her earlier this month. Sandoval, who is now appearing on Fox’s “Special Forces: World’s Toughest Test,” recently revealed he’s single.
Madix danced to Hailee Steinfeld’s “Love Myself” on Monday night, and was supported by Wai, Shay and her brother, Jeremy Madix, in the audience.
“My life has been a rollercoaster in the last year,” Madix said in her “DWTS” introduction video. “My partner of nine years and one of my best girlfriends was having an affair behind my back. And everybody got to watch it all play out and my life blow up on television. But the scandal does not define me. So now, I just want to do something for me that’s fun and positive.”
Madix earned a 21 out of 30 score for her performance, with judge Carrie Ann Inaba exclaiming, “Can I just say as a woman, cheaters suck! They suck! But you just showed every woman, every man, anybody who is watching how you handle a cheater. You come out here and you turn it up!”
Season 32 of “Dancing With the Stars” premieres on Tuesday, Sept. 26, at 8 p.m. ET on ABC and Disney+.
