At Casa Cruz, Bergdorf Goodman and Schiaparelli Hosted a Saturday Night Soirée

The countdown is on until the first Monday in May, and everyone is flocking to Manhattan as the pre-Met Gala festivities begin. Straight from Paris, Schiaparelli’s creative director, Daniel Roseberry, touched down in New York to celebrate the house’s spring 2024 collection with Linda Fargo and Bergdorf Goodman.

Guests were welcomed to Casa Cruz with an intimate presentation of Schiaparelli’s spring 2024 ready-to-wear ensembles. Of course, the collection’s closing look–made with hundreds of red, almond-shaped acrylic nails and worn by Kendall Jenner–was staged front and center. Nearby, the house’s iconic, life-sized gold lobster necklace was on display.

“I courted Daniel for months before I finally convinced Schiaparelli to come to New York with Bergdorf,” Fargo confessed. “When his surrealist collection arrived in stores, we had an overwhelmingly positive response from our community, and it’s been incredible to watch his vision take shape on the streets of Manhattan.”

Friends and fashion folk all showed up in style to toast Roseberry amidst one of the year’s most anticipated weekends. Esteemed guests like Eva Chen, Blake Abbie, Anh Duong, and more graced the occasion, donning head-to-toe Schiaparelli looks. In a cozy corner, Fargo chatted with Delphine Bellini, CEO of Schiaparelli, about her Met Gala red carpet predictions and summer plans while Adam Selman, Gabriella Karefa-Johnson, and Amy Sedaris, held court at the bar.

On the pink and white tented rooftop terrace, guests enjoyed the refreshing spring air while savoring signature canapés that circulated the room. The evening felt exceptionally spirited despite Sunday’s schedule packed with final fittings, glam tests, and last-minute alterations.

“It’s wonderful to be in New York with such vibrant energy building up to Monday night,” Roseberry expressed with a smile. For Met Galas past, the designer dressed the likes of Kim Kardashian, Michaela Coel, and Carey Mulligan, to name a few. Come Monday evening, the world will be watching the red carpet debuts eager to see this year’s class of Schiaparelli swans.
