Ather Rizta: What is Ather Energy’s ‘family’ electric scooter Rizta: Design teased

Bengaluru-based EV maker Ather Energy has teased its upcoming family scooter, revealing the model’s name as Rizta. The electric scooter has previously been spied testing in Bengaluru. Ather Energy will be unveiling the Rizta during its community day celebrations in 2024.
Shortly after rumours circulated online about the manufacturer naming their upcoming family scooter ‘Diesel,’ the company’s CEO, Tarun Mehta, took to his social media handle on X and clarified that the scooter, developed under the project Diesel, will not carry the same name.
The official name for the upcoming scooter is confirmed to be ‘Ather Rizta,’ with a launch expected later this year. Mehta shared the news accompanied by a teaser video.

Ather Rizta: What we know so far
Based on the earlier spy shots of the test mule and the silhouette shown in the teaser, the Rizta will feature a simplistic design with minimal cuts on its side panels, distinguishing it from the current 450 lineup, which incorporates sharp and aerodynamically-advanced design elements.
Furthermore, the LED headlight is horizontally integrated into the front panel, complemented by a similarly formatted taillight. Expect the upcoming Ather Rizta to provide a more spacious floorboard area compared to the current 450X model.
While the manufacturer has kept all the specifications and other details under the wraps, we can expect the Rizta to be offered with two battery options and it could also feature the 7.0-inch DeepView LCD instrumentation, which was first introduced with the 450S.
