Audi India registers massive growth! 5,530 units sold in Q1 – Q3 ’23

Audi India today announced that it has sold 5,530 units registering a growth of 88 per cent in the first nine months of 2023. The company said that the launch of the new Audi Q8 e-tron, Audi e-tron Sportback, Audi Q3 and Q3 Sportback coupled with continued demand for Audi A4, A6, Q5, Q7, Q8, A8L, S5 Sportback, RS Q8, e-tron GT and RS e-tron GT has led to positive growth of the company in India.
Audi says that the SUV range has grown by 187 per cent and the performance lifestyle cars including the e-tron range have witnessed a 42 per cent growth in the same period. The company has 2,056 retail units delivered in quarter three of 2023 and Audi’s pre-owned car business has witnessed growth of 63 per cent in the first nine months.

Mr. Balbir Singh Dhillon, Head of Audi India said, “Audi India retailed 5,530 units witnessing a strong 88% growth; our SUVs have witnessed a growth of 187%. With the upcoming festive season, we are expecting this growth to continue on the back of sustained demand for our best-sellers including the Audi A4, Audi A6, Audi Q3, Audi Q3 Sportback, Q5, Audi Q7 and Audi Q8. With our recent launches, the Audi Q8 e-tron and Audi Q8 Sportback e-tron (offered with an impressive 114 kWh battery which is the industry best), we now have the widest EV portfolio in the segment. We are confident of good demand during the festive season for our electric range which also includes India’s first EV supercars – Audi e-tron GT and Audi RS e-tron GT.”

The company recently launched the Audi Q5 limited edition for the festive season. The Q5 will be available in limited numbers and is priced at Rs 69.7 lakh (ex-showroom). The Q5 limited edition will be available in a technology variant and will get an exclusive Mythos Black paint job. The Audi Q5 limited edition gets a Black styling package plus a single frame grille and vertical struts. The logo, grille and roof rails will get black treatment and it features sleek LED headlights with LED taillamps.
The Audi Q5 limited edition will be powered by a 2.0-litre TFSi, 4-cylinder, turbocharged petrol engine which puts out 265 hp of power and 370 Nm of torque. The engine comes paired with a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox which sends power to all four wheels via the Quattro AWD system. Audi claims the Q5 can sprint from 0-100 kph in just 6.1 seconds and can reach a top speed of 240 km/h. The SUV also gets six drive modes – comfort, dynamic, individual, auto, efficiency and off-road.
