Baazigar turns 30: Riteish Deshmukh’s recalls watching it ‘first day first show’, says everyone was ‘gob smacked’ at the murder scene

In response to a user expressing a desire to use a time machine and witness the audience’s reaction during a pivotal scene, Riteish Deshmukh recounted his own memorable experience. He recalled how the entire theater fell into a stunned silence during the unforgettable scene where Shah Rukh Khan’s character throws Shilpa Shetty off the terrace. The unexpected twist in the plot left the audience in surprise. Interestingly, Deshmukh noted that when he watched the movie again a month later, the same scene that initially hushed the audience now garnered enthusiastic applause, showcasing the enduring impact and unpredictability of the film’s narrative.

The user wrote, “I wasn’t even born when this film released. So if I get a time machine, I would want to go back to the First Day First Show of this film and observe how public reacted to this scene when they saw it for the first time. One of the weirdly maddest scenes ever. #30YearsofBaazigar.”
