Bajaj Auto is gearing up to rewrite the rules of two-wheeler commuting with the upcoming launch of its CNG-powered motorcycle. As per ET Now, Rajiv Bajaj, CEO of Bajaj Auto has confirmed that the company’s maiden CNG motorcycle will be launched in June 2024.

Although there’s hardly any official information about the product available at present, it has been spotted undergoing testing on multiple occasions.Most recently, the manufacturer has filed four trademarks, which are speculated to be potential names for the forthcoming model.

Bajaj may opt to either modify an existing petrol engine or develop a new powertrain designed specifically for CNG usage. Anyway, the motorcycle is positioned to be a game-changer, particularly when it comes to fuel efficiency. With CNG prices being considerably lower than petrol, riders can expect substantial savings on their daily commutes.
The spied test mules featured telescopic fork and monoshock suspension, along with a disc brake in the front and a drum brake at the rear. The company’s recent trademark applications for the names Glider, Marathon, Trekker, and Freedom, submitted between January 29th and February 9th, indicate that the upcoming model may potentially be named after one of these options.
The upcoming launch of Bajaj’s CNG motorcycle could prove to be a turning point for the Indian two-wheeler market. We can expect more details about the motorcycle as the launch in mid-2024 nears.
