The widely popular bagel business has a new outpost expected to open in Larkspur at 238 Magnolia Ave. in early November. Owner Emily Winston made the announcement on Instagram on Monday morning and shared a photo of keys to the new space.

“There’s been endless people begging us to expand to Marin. They won’t have to cross the bridge anymore to get our bagels,” Winston told SFGATE.

The newest outpost will have a familiar menu to the original Berkeley flagship store and the Palo Alto location with a similar list of bagels, schmears and sandwiches. Coffee won’t be available at this space, but customers can get their caffeine fix at the Equator Coffee located next door. To start, Winston said that the new storefront will open daily from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Unlike the other existing storefronts, the Larkspur site will not make in-house bagels due to the building’s small size. Instead, bagels will get delivered twice daily from the Berkeley outpost.

Boichik Bagels first opened in 2019 and has been in expansion mode in the past couple years. In March, Winston opened a massive wholesale factory and storefront, first announced in 2021, at 1225 Sixth St. in Berkeley. Last fall, Boichik crossed the bay to debut its second storefront, at Palo Alto’s Town & Country Village.

More bagels are on the horizon. Winston shared that the upcoming Santa Clara location at 2050 Wyatt Dr. is nearing completion pending final inspections. The site, which was a “full buildout,” was originally set to open this summer but was delayed due to ongoing construction. Winston is now reaching the finish line with the South Bay outpost and shared that it could open around the same time as the Larkspur space.

“We’re looking at both of them opening in early November. It’s a bit of a race,” Winston said.
