“When I tell people I had a laundry business, they always ask me the same thing: ‘How do you get all your whites to be white?” she said.

“They can’t get their white cotton sheets and linen to be bright and stain free so I’m going to show you the best product — I’ve never found anything that comes close to this.”

The “instant whitening” formula claims to remove unsightly yellow stains from laundry.

“I open up the sachet and I get maybe four big loads out of this and with it I add my normal detergent and some white vinegar,” Amelia explained.

For stubborn stains around the collar, she suggested spraying on a pre-treat stain remover.

“At the moment I’ve got a lot of sunscreen on my whites so you’d want to pre-treat,” she said.

“I use Sard, the spray or cream are really good but there are lots of stain pre-treaters that are good… The Sard stain pre-treat spray is excellent. Their in-wash powder is very similar to Vanish, so I buy whichever is on sale.

To soak your laundry, she said her go-to whitening powder brands include Vanish and Sard.

“If you have a soak setting (on your washing machine) and you have a big load, you could add a normal white powder with lots of vinegar, put it in there for a long soak,” she said.

“When you then have finished soaking, put it through a normal cycle with just normal detergent.

“I’m telling you, your whites will come out so perfect, crisp and white, like they were brand new from the shops, I swear.”

Her video has been viewed more than 130,000 times — with many saying they couldn’t wait to give her tips a go.

“Today is laundry day. I’m going to use this advice. Thanks,” one said.
