Bharat Ncap: Bharat NCAP crash tests to start on Dec 15: These carmakers to participate in the first batch

The Bharat NCAP, India’s very own car safety ratingprogram, will begin crash testing the nominated cars starting from December 15, 2023. Launched in August and having come into effect since October 1, 2023, the nominated passenger vehicles will be assessed for safety come December 15, following a festive season-induced delay, a government official told ET.
Bharat NCAP is modeled on the Global NCAP, which is a project of the UK-based NGO, Towards Zero Foundation. The idea of the program is to help consumers make informed decisions about car safety and to spur demand for safer cars.

We can expect Hyundai to nominate its newly-launched Exter SUV, which the manufacturer claims to be one of its safest cars in India.
