Looks like the Piano Man is getting ready to Turn The Lights Back on at Glastonbury this year.

Billy Joel hasn’t released new material for 17 years, but the American superstar just dropped his beautiful new single, with promises there is more to come.

Worthy Farm always loves at least one heritage legend each year, and his piano-based melodic pop music and rock is most often compared to Sir Elton John, who headlined the Pyramid Stage in 2023 as part of his Farewell Tour.

The Jersey boy is showing absolutely no signs of slowing down himself, and UK bookies just slashed his Glasto odds to follow suit. Joel also announced a major concert date in the UK later in the year.

When Joel headlined British Summertime at Hyde Park last year, his daughters were there and spotted watching from the wings. However, later that year, he brought them on stage at Madison Square Gardens in New York for a duet.

Della Rose is 8 and Remy Anne is 6, from the singer’s fourth marriage to Alexis Roderick, an equestrian and former Morgan Stanley executive.

The British public seems confident that Joel with hit Glastonbury this year with bookies recording a major surge in bets over this week, that make it look like a done deal.

Coral Bookmakers told Express Online; “The biggest mover over the last few days is Billy Joel. The New York star has just released some new music and many punters believe he will on the Pyramid Stage this summer.

“We think Coldplay and Dua Lipa are the most likely to be confirmed as headline acts for Glastonbury this year. They are both long odds-on in our betting.

“Madonna’s odds continue to drift out. She still looks to be in the mix, but it would be no surprise if details were still being ironed out with the Queen of Pop.”

Currently, Billy Joel has been slashed from 5/1 to better than evens at 4-5. Coldplay is on at 1-18 followed by Dua Lipa at 1-8. Madonna has slipped to 5/4, followed by Pink on 2/1.
