Bollywood blockbuster duo SRK, Deepika Padukone team up again, this time for Hyundai

Hyundai Motor India has roped in Bollywood actress Deepika Padukone as its Brand Ambassador. The actress, who debuted in Bollywood with Sharukh Khan co-starrer Om Shanti Om and recently paired up with the actor in Jawaan, has yet again partnered with the 58-year-old. SRK has been associated with the South Korean brand for over 25 years now.
Apart from this blockbuster duo, the manufacturer also recently appointed cricketer Hardik Pandya as the brand ambassador for the newly-launched Exter SUV. Tarun Garg, COO of Hyundai highlighted Padukone’s influence, particularly among the youth, envisioning her as a catalyst to connect the company’s automobiles with the aspirations of the target demographic. The brand sees this partnership as an opportunity to bridge the gap between cutting-edge technology and the preferences of a forward-thinking audience.

In November 2023, HMIL sold a total 49,451 units in India, registering a 3.01 percent growth from the 48,002 units sold in November 2022. Furthermore, the company is poised to achieve a significant milestone by surpassing six lakh domestic sales in the current calendar year, marking a notable achievement since its entry into the Indian market. In fact, India stands as the third-largest global market for the South Korean manufacturer, trailing only behind the United States and the European Union in terms of market share. In 2023, the Indian market played a substantial role, contributing 18.6 percent to Hyundai’s global sales.
