Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band were scheduled to perform at Chase Center on Dec. 10 and 12, but those shows will have to be rescheduled for 2024. The legendary rocker announced Wednesday that he has to postpone all of his remaining 2023 dates as he recovers from peptic ulcer disease.
“Earlier today, Bruce Springsteen announced he is continuing to recover steadily from peptic ulcer disease over the past few weeks and will continue treatment through the rest of the year on doctor’s advice. With this in mind, and out of an abundance of caution, all remaining 2023 tour dates for Bruce Springsteen and The E Street Band will be postponed until 2024, including the Sunday, December 10 and Tuesday, December 12 dates at Chase Center,” said a Chase Center representative in an email to SFGATE.
The “Born to Run” singer was also scheduled to play sets at the Kia Forum in Inglewood, California, on Dec. 4 and 6. Those dates are also being rescheduled for 2024.
Earlier this month, Springsteen announced he was rescheduling eight September shows because of health issues, but had hoped to return to touring in 2023. That appears to be out of the question now.
Chase Center said that new dates will be announced next week. All tickets for the original performances will be honored for the new dates. Patrons who bought tickets for the original performances that cannot attend the new dates will be given 30 days to request a full refund.
“Thanks to all my friends and fans for your good wishes, encouragement, and support. I’m on the mend and can’t wait to see you all next year,” said Springsteen in a released statement.
