Bugatti Veyron designer Jozef Kaban named MG Motor’s VP of Global Design Centre: Details

In a move that might revolutionize the design philosophy at MG Motor, the manufacturer has appointed Jozef Kaban as the Vice President of its Global Design Centre. In his new role, Kaban will be responsible for ‘forward-looking creativity and design’ of the MG product range.

For the unversed, Kaban is renowned as the designer of the Bugatti Veyron hypercar. The Slovakian automotive designer began his career journey at Volkswagen before transitioning to Audi in 2003 as an exterior design assistant. By 2007, he took the role of Chief of Exterior Design at Audi.

Kaban’s appointment comes at a time when MG is experiencing significant growth in the global market. The brand is particularly strong in regions like Oman and even in India, it has been growing gradually. With Kaban at the helm of design, MG is well-positioned to attract a wider range of customers.
Speaking of MG’s performance in India in March 2024, MG Motor India sold 4,648 units, marking a 23 percent decline from March 2023’s 6,051 units. However, compared to February 2024’s 4,532 units, there was a 2.5 percent month-on-month growth in sales.
