Bush Search Underway for Missing Woman in Yass River Region, New South Wales

A search is on for a 34-year-old woman who has been missing for five days in the NSW Southern Tablelands.

Tina Quinn was last seen at a property on Yass River Rd in Yass River, about an hour’s drive north of Canberra, about 10.30am on Sunday, July 16.

“She contacted family about 5pm the same day via a text message, however, has not been able to be contacted since,” NSW Police said.

Police, NSW State Emergency Service and a number of other agencies are searching bushland around the Yass River for Quinn, whose disappearance is out of character.

Her family are concerned for her welfare because she is not usually unable to be contacted, police said.

Police have been inquiring into her whereabouts since earlier this week and located a Toyota Land Cruiser that she was believed to be travelling in.

“Tina is described as being of African appearance, about 175cm tall, of thin build, with light brown hair, light brown eyes and a tattoo of three five-pointed stars on the back of her neck,” police said.

Anyone with information is urged to contact police.
