Car crash in Bihar results in liquor loot: Viral video surfaces

In a bizarre incident, a video has been going viral on the internet showing people looting liquor bottles from a car on National Highway 2 after the vehicle was involved in an accident. It should be noted that alcohol has been banned in the state of Bihar since 2016.
The car was reportedly carrying imported liquor, and collided with another vehicle on the highway on Monday.Passersby had come to offer help, but soon realised that the people inside the vehicle had run away for some reason, leaving behind cartons filled with liquor bottles. Both locals and passersby looted the white Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza, with people seen running away holding multiple liquor bottles.

A large group of people can be seen rushing to the parked car in order to loot liquor bottles. Some motorcyclists can be seen stopping their bike in the middle of the highway and making their way to the vehicle with liquor bottles. The incident also resulted in a traffic jam on this particular stretch of NH 2.
Dobhi Police arrived at the spot after receiving information about the incident, however, the crowd of people looting the liquor bottles from the vehicle was so large that in spite of the presence of cops at the scene, people continued to loot liquor bottles. Prem Prakash, Assistant Commissioner of the Excise Department said that people in the video are currently being identified, and that action will be taken against them.
