Carlex Gives the New Ford Ranger Raptor an Enhanced Exterior and Exciting Interior Makeover

Ford has introduced a brand new Ranger, and aftermarket experts are already enhancing it. Carlex Design has developed a new package for the pickup truck that updates its exterior and transforms the cabin, while keeping the powertrain unchanged.

Externally, the CRX T-Rex package enhances the truck’s already rugged appearance with a range of new components. The front of the truck receives a new bumper and radiator guard, both finished in Line-X, a tough and durable material also used on other parts such as the mirror caps and side steps.

Carlex adds a Line-X hood scoop, a style bar, and a roof cover for the auxiliary lights to the Ranger Raptor. The hood scoop and roof cover are also available in carbon material. Additionally, the truck features distinctive T-Rex graphics, painted brake calipers, and black 18-inch wheels.

The package purely focuses on aesthetics, both inside and out. The cabin is completely overhauled and adorned with a vibrant orange color, showcasing Carlex’s expertise. As a Polish-based design house, Carlex specializes in creating bespoke interiors for the automotive and aviation industries.

The makeover includes a leather-trimmed dashboard and steering wheel, natural leather upholstery, reshaped leather and Alcantara seats, an Alcantara headliner, and painted air vents. The pickup’s cabin also receives unique decorative elements displaying the CRX T-Rex name.

The Ford Ranger Raptor, which will be available in the United States, made its debut earlier this year. The truck will be equipped with Ford’s twin-turbocharged 3.0-liter EcoBoost V6 engine generating 405 horsepower and 430 pound-feet of torque, mated to a 10-speed automatic transmission.

The Ranger Raptor that debuted in Europe is not as powerful, offering 288 hp and 362 lb-ft of torque, along with the option of the EcoBlue diesel engine producing 210 hp and 391 lb-ft of torque.

The Raptor comes with a range of off-road enhancements, including optional 17-inch wheels, 33-inch BFGoodrich all-terrain KO3 tires, eight drive modes, an improved suspension, and an active valve exhaust system. The Ranger Raptor will have a starting price of $56,960 (which includes the $1,595 destination charge) and will go on sale this summer.

The Carlex package is priced at 99,900 euros ($110,782 at the current exchange rate) and includes a Certificate of Authenticity. Carlex has been upgrading various makes and models over the years, offering packages for cars such as the Ferrari Purosangue, Rolls-Royce Cullinan, and many others. The CRX T-Rex is not the first Ranger to receive special attention from Carlex, as the specialist previously enhanced the previous-generation off-roader with a much more extravagant kit.
