Check now: Councils are now offering 50% rebate on supermarket buy

Councils across Australia are now offering huge rebates on a popular supermarket buy – and you probably had no idea.

It’s been revealed that at least 22 councils across five states and territories are giving homeowners up to $130 cashback on reusable menstrual products such as period underpants.

Coles and Woolworths now stock a large range of period briefs in store and online, priced between $14 and just under $38.

But with rebates now available on the range, it means ratepayers can stock up for 50 to 100 per cent off the retail price.

The news left social media users stunned, with many admitting they were unaware of the rebate scheme.

“What a fantastic incentive,” said one.
