Citroen C3 Aircross SUV launched in India. Price, specs, and other details

Citroen India has introduced the highly anticipated Citroen C3 Aircross SUV to the Indian market, with prices starting at Rs 9.99 lakh (ex-showroom). You can pre-book the SUV from your nearest Citroën showroom or visit the official Citroën India website, where a token payment of Rs 25,000 is required. Deliveries for this exciting new SUV will commence on the 15th of October 2023. The C3 Aircross is offered in three variants, namely You, Plus, and Max. While the pricing for the base You variant has been disclosed, the rates for the other two variants will be revealed later.

The C3 Aircross follows the success of Citroen’s previous models, including the C5 Aircross, C3, and ëC3. It shares the same CMP modular platform with the C3 and ëC3 and is available in both five- and seven-seating configurations. Citroen claims an impressive 90% localization for the C3 Aircross and has also announced plans to introduce a third model on the CMP modular platform by 2024.

The C3 Aircross has taken a lot of design cues from its predecessor, the C3. The new SUV has an integrated logo on the front grille, a two-layer design with chrome and piano black inserts, Y-shaped LED DRLs, and prominent round fog lamps. At the rear, it boasts a spacious tailgate with square taillamps and striking 17-inch dual-tone alloy wheels.

Inside the cabin, the C3 Aircross mirrors the layout of the C3 hatchback, including the 10-inch infotainment system with support for Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Notably, automatic climate control is not included. The SUV offers both a standard five-seat layout and a three-row configuration, with dedicated AC vents for second and third-row passengers. Additionally, the C3 Aircross boasts a fully digital instrument cluster with various drive modes.
Under the hood, Citroen provides a single-engine option for the C3 Aircross. It is powered by a 1.2-liter, 3-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine generating 110 hp of power and 170 Nm of torque. The sole gearbox choice is a 6-speed manual, which is also featured in the C3 hatchback.
