Winning tip: Experience the Magic of Portugal’s Fisherman’s Trail
The Fisherman’s Trail in southern Portugal is truly magical. We embarked on a 140-mile journey, starting from Porto Covo and ending in Lagos. Over the course of 12 days, we stayed overnight in charming rustic villages, cobblestoned towns, and popular surfer spots. If you’re short on time, you can choose to walk a smaller section of the trail. The walk offers breathtaking views of rugged cliffs, wild beaches with crystal-clear waters, pine forests, vineyards, and meadows of wild flowers. Along the way, keep an eye out for various wildlife including lizards, storks, cormorants, and countless other birds. And don’t forget to indulge in the delicious local wine and seafood at the restaurants along the trail.
