Comparison of Specifications, Features, and Prices: Tata Punch CNG vs Maruti Suzuki Fronx CNG

Tata Motors recently introduced a CNG powertrain for its most affordable SUV in India, i.e. Punch. The Tata Punch CNG is a direct rival to the Hyundai Exter CNG that was launched in the country a few months ago, and we pitted the two SUVs in a specs and price comparison a few days ago. That said, the Punch CNG will also face competition from the Maruti Suzuki Fronx CNG, which was also launched in the country earlier this year.

Engine specs
Powering the Tata Punch CNG is a 1.2-litre three-pot engine, producing 72.5 hp and 103 Nm in CNG mode, whereas the Maruti Suzuki Fronx CNG gets a 1.2-litre four-cylinder engine putting out 76 hp of max power and 98.5 Nm of peak torque in CNG mode. Both CNG SUVs are offered with a 5-speed manual transmission as standard.
