India scored a total of 326 in the first innings, with Virat Kohli scoring 101 off 121 balls. South Africa only managed to score 83 runs, with India bowling out the whole team in 27.1 overs and Jadeja taking his maiden 5-wicket haul in a World Cup, winning the match by 243 runs.
IT minister Ashwini Vaishnaw also posted on the social media platform X, congratulating Virat Kohli on his 49th century and noting that the match saw 4.4 live viewers, noting that India enjoys the lowest data costs.

The streaming platform clocked in 4.3 crore concurrent viewers during the livestream of the India vs New Zealand World Cup match on October 22, surpassing the previous record of 3.5 crore concurrent viewers set during the World Cup match between India and Pakistan on October 14.
During the Asia Cup tournament, Disney+Hotstar registered 2.8 crore viewers during the India vs Pakistan match.
