Delhi police arrests viral road-blocking miscreant: SUV with ugly colour impounded, fine imposed!

In a prompt action by Delhi Police, a young man who caused a stir by blocking traffic with his oddly-wrapped ‘Golden’ SUV for a social media video has been taken into custody. The incident, which was captured on camera and widely shared online, caused anger among the public and drew criticism from authorities.
Causing ruckus in public premises for the sake of social media videos isn’t something unusual these days.Often, there’s a video doing rounds on social media in which people are seen performing dangerous stunts on public roads, putting theirs as well as the safety of other motorists at risk. However, in this case, the ‘influencer’ has had a long history of repeated offences.

The arrest follows after a video emerged showing the individual abruptly stopping his ISUZU HI-Lander 2WD MT on the main flyover of the outer ring road at Paschim Vihar, causing a road blockage and resulting in a significant traffic jam. Additionally, another video surfaced in which the same individual set a police barricade on fire after applying a chemical to it.
After netizens demanded action against the culprit on social media platform X, the Delhi Police promptly launched an inquiry to identify the driver and the vehicle involved. The police department has imposed a fine of Rs 36,000 on the individual for breaking traffic rules and regulations.
Additionally, they have seized the vehicle under sections 39/112 MV Act, 100.2/177 MV Act, and 184 MV Act at the Paschim Vihar East police station. The officers have also revealed that several fake, plastic weapons were also found in his SUV.
