Vindu Dara Singh reminisced about the occasion when Amitabh Bachchan arrived to offer his condolences following his father, Dara Singh’s, passing away. However, upon his arrival, Bachchan found the family celebrating with champagne.
During a conversation with Siddharth Kannan, Vindu expressed that his father had always encouraged the family to celebrate his life rather than mourn his passing.Following the veteran actor’s demise, the entire family gathered to pay their respects. Once they had said their farewells to everyone, they decided to honor his wish by gathering together, popping champagne, and celebrating his life into the night.

As they were immersed in their celebration, the doorbell suddenly rang, startling Vindu. To his surprise, it was Amitabh Bachchan standing at the door, having come to offer his condolences. Reflecting on the moment, Vindu shared with a chuckle how Bachchan must have been taken aback by the lively scene unfolding inside. Despite having been shooting all day, Amitabh had made the effort to visit the family, dressed in white attire.

Vindu went on to recount the interaction, explaining how Bachchan inquired about the lively atmosphere inside. Upon learning that they were following his father’s wish to celebrate his life, Bachchan gave a thumbs up and asked for Vindu’s mother. Vindu directed him to her, and Bachchan went to sit with her. However, Vindu noted with amusement that Bachchan appeared visibly surprised by the unexpected turn of events.

When Dara Singh passed away in 2012, Amitabh Bachchan tweeted, “Dara Singh ji passed away this morning. A great Indian and one of the finest humans… An entire era of his celebrated presence gone!” His son Abhishek Bachchan also tweeted, “Dara ji passes away. Had the honour of working with him in Shararat. The most gentle and kind man. Really looked up to him. Will miss him. He was always so loving and gave the best hugs. Remember meeting him for the 1st time while dad was shooting Mard. Was convinced… That he truly was the only human who could not be pulled apart by even airplanes.”
